Howdy. I'm Brandon
and I love to tell stories by photographing moments, all kinds of life's moments.
Say Hi, and let's
make some magic
Reach out here to let me know what you think of my work, to simply geek-out over photography, or better yet, to have me reserve time to capture your moments.
What kind of photos do you capture?
I capture a little of everything. My primary and most popular work is in sports. I regularly work with regional universities to cover all manner of sports as well as cycling, both pro and amateur events. That being said, I also do some portraits, events, journalism, landscapes, and astrophotography. I always enjoy the challenge of a new genre, so if you have something you want to capture, send me a message and let's work on creating something awesome.
Where do you work?
I'm based in Austin, Texas and do most of my work here. I love to travel and am willing to do so for the right price or project, though. Let's talk about your ideas.
What is your education?
I earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have worked in advertising agencies, startups, and large tech companies during my career, most of which has been as a software engineer.
What equipment are you working with?
I shoot a variety of gear. I use all mirrorless Canon camera bodies; a Canon EOS R5, EOS R6, and an EOS R. I use fast zooms (24-70mm & 70-200mm f/2.8) as standard lenses for most shoots, but also use a variety of primes, including a 400mm f/2.8 behemoth, a 40mm f/2.8, 135mm f/2.0, and 14mm f/1.8 (among other lenses) for more specialized work and experimentation.
For lighting, I own a dual 400W mobile light setup with a 10-foot wide x 20-foot long white backdrop with stands. As well as a few smaller speedlight flashes.
I also own a set of PocketWizard's, which allow me to use a remote-camera setup.
